Winter break is just around the corner & I’ve already got my reading list ready. I’ve got two Christmas theme books {which I’m super excited about!} Last winter (January 2017) I read “Christmas in Paris” while I was in Paris & it was beyond magical. Although I won’t be in London reading Anita Hughes’ new book, I’m super excited about it because I was in London earlier this year! It was such a beautiful city & I cannot wait until I can go back. {sorry I went on a little tangent} I just really like reading books set in places that I’ve recently traveled to! It’s so fun.

Do you have any books you want to read this winter? Anything you would recommend to me?

  1. Christmas in London by Anita Hughes

2. Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle

3. Looking for Alaska by John Green

4. A Wedding In Provence by Ellen Sussman

current reading list:

As many of you know, I love to read. Over summer, I read about 5 books. Although I’m  super busy with school, I still want to have time for myself. Here are a few books on my wishlist:

  1. Lily and the Octopus- This is actually something I’m CURRENTLY reading. I’m not very far, but I’m HOOKED. I won’t lie, I started bawling my eyes out on page 7 or something ridiculous. It’s so good. I can’t wait to finish this!lily-and-the-octopus-9781501126222_hr
  2. Christmas in Paris- I actually JUST ordered this from Barnes & Noble… so it should be arriving in my mailbox by the end of this week. So exciting. I have a new found love for Anita Hughes and read two of her books over summer vacation. I cannot wait to read this book during Christmas time. christmas-in-paris-by-anita-hughes
  3. Today Will Be Different- I have heard such positive things from this novel! I read “Where’d You Go, Bernadette” during summer break & loved it. So I think Maria Semple won’t disappoint with this book! 28449270
  4. The Woman in Cabin 10- This is a thriller/mystery book that people have been raving about. I am looking forward to getting my hands on a copy! I heard a lot of people read it for hours on end, not being able to put it down. (i love books like that) the-woman-in-cabin-10-9781508217749_hr

What are some books you’re dying to read? Have you read any on my list?

summer break reading list.

Hey everyone!

As I’ve said in a previous post, I’m not taking any summer classes… which is so exciting! That means I get to do whatever I want until I start school in August. I have a whole list of books I want to read. I’ve been collecting these books over the last couple months, but wasn’t able to read any during Spring semester because I was too busy. So NOW is the time to jump right in and spend my days reading.

  1. The Widow’s Guide to Sex and Dating by Carole Radziwill

I’m a HUGE fan of Carole’s work, I actually started reading this a few weeks ago. This will be the first one I want to finish.

2. Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

3. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Sooo excited for this one. Haven’t seen the movie YET, but I will soon! I don’t mind watching the movie first before reading the book.

4. First Comes Love by Emily Giffin

SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK! Emily Giffin is one of my favorite authors, and I have read all her other books. I pre-ordered this book, as it comes out later this June! Can’t wait to get it in the mail!

5. Paris in Love by Eloisa James

6. Threats by Amelia Gray

7. Wild by Cheryl Strayed

I’ve seen this movie & absolutely LOVED it. Amazing, so I know the book will be just as great!

If you have any good book recommendations I’d love to know! I hope you all have a great day.

book review: what remains: a memoir of fate, friendship & love.

Hey everyone,

Today I wanted to do a book review on a book I finished reading a few weeks ago. I read almost three books over winter break, and this was one of the books I enjoyed SO much.

So a little bit about the author, her name is Carole Radziwill. The first time I heard about her, was watching her on one of my favorite t.v. shows- The Real Housewives of New York. My first impression of her, was I thought she was beautiful, mysterious and really laid back. She mentions on the show that she is a journalist, and worked for ABC News in the past, met her husband working and he passed away to cancer- leaving her a widow, I didn’t know much more about her. But this book changed that.

CYEMfceW8AUmsqdThis is a memoir about her life- her childhood, meeting her husband during a work trip to Los Angeles, marrying her husband, her friendships, the battle it was to taking care of her sick husband and ultimately losing her husband to cancer. I won’t give away it all, especially if you want to read the book, but I cried my eyes out at the end. She is definitely an inspiration. Her book is gold, she is a very talented writer. Learning about her life and everything she went through was so interesting. She is a great example of coming from a small town, and achieving massive success by working hard for it! Radziwill is a gifted writer, able to tell her story without holding back.

I look up to her, and would love to be at least half the writer she is. This is such a great read, you won’t regret it! Have you read any good books lately? Any recommendations for me? I would love to know!
