SOUTH OF FRANCE: NICE & CANNES.

As my time in Europe is coming to an end, I had to make my way to the South of France. It was going to be my last trip of the semester- but I pulled the trigger and booked my flight for one last destination… which I can’t wait to blog about (stay tuned!)

My time in Nice & Cannes was amazing. I was blown away by how beautiful the ocean was! Gorgeous aqua blue waters, rustic buildings, and the cutest restaurants.

CANNES:

NICE:

Nice had the cutest flea market, I was dying for the pink chair. Too bad I couldn’t take it home with me!

The weather was nice! Most of the time I wore a sleeveless shirt. I managed to get a little bit of a tan, too!

We climbed up to see the views of Nice & the waterfall. It was so worth it! It feels really good to be able to add this to the list of places I’ve seen. My favorite part of the trip was spending time with my girlfriends. Good company, good food, and the best views- what more can a girl ask for?

BARCELONA.

March 31st- April 4th I made my way to Barcelona. Originally, Spain wasn’t on my list of places I was going to see… but all of my friends kept raving about how gorgeous the city was. So, I said to myself, “why not go?”

The city truly is beautiful, I loved hearing people speaking Spanish & English. The hostel that we stayed at was called MEDITERRANEAN YOUTH HOSTEL. I highly recommend this hostel, as it’s a short metro ride to everything. The staff were very helpful and gave us a map of fun things to see/do, and even gave us recommendations of places to eat. The day we got to Barcelona I had to get some beer, paella, and tapas. We went to a place called BCN Birres i Tapes. It was so GOOD & affordable.

This trip I really wanted to relax, and not jam-pack my day with things to do. I wanted to just walk around the city, eat, and have fun. It worked out perfectly!

Here are some great shots I got in Barcelona:

It rained a little bit when we were there, but for the most part it was sunny & warm! I would love to go back to Spain and explore more of Barcelona, and actually make my way to Madrid, Valencia, Granada, and Ibiza.

We went to Granada Familia, Montjuïc Castle, Parc de la Ciutadella, walked along the beach, went to some clubs, and made friends at our hostel. The Gothic Quarter is also super fun to walk around! Barcelona was everything my friends told me it was, and I was not disappointed! My bloodline on my father’s side is Spanish, so it was fun being in a place where my ancestors came from.

Next trip is probably going to be my last trip, sadly. I’ve had so much fun in Europe, it’s been an absolute dream. I’m forever grateful for these memories and trips.

VERSAILLES.

Last week I finally made my way to Versailles, on a group trip. The weather was absolutely gorgeous: 70 degrees & sunny. It was warm enough to skip the jacket & rock a sleeve-less top! I was so happy about it.

I was in love with all the fountains and gold detailing. Versailles is something I’ll never forget. It was incredible, I would definitely go back if I had the time.

Taking the RER Train to Versailles was super easy & convenient. It only took 45-50 minutes, and it goes by quickly if you’re talking to friends. If you’re in France, I highly recommend it.

France is just beautiful. I wish I was going to be staying longer, but it’s just not possible right now. I don’t want to dwell about the LITTLE time I have left, but appreciate the time I did have here. I got to experience so much, and meet some amazing people. I have one more trip coming up this month: Nice; the south of France! I am SO EXCITED FOR THAT.

Stay tuned for my Barcelona blog post next!
