one month until my birthday: gift wishlist.

I can’t believe it! August is coming to an end, and we are about to be in my birthday MONTH—- September! I’m excited for my birthday, but I’m actually more excited about AUTUMN! Yes, I’m that basic cool girl that likes pumpkin flavored everything, cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, Starbucks pumpkin spiced lattes & Halloween! It’s my favorite Season folks!

Anyway, I wanted to muster up a birthday wishlist, just for fun! I know I probably won’t be getting any of these things, since I’ve spoiled the shit out of myself this past month! (I’ve bought myself too many pairs of shoes, a beautiful Kate Spade bag, and two pairs of J.Crew pants!) I really don’t need anything, to be honest.

If you don’t know already, I’m obsessed with Audrey Hepburn. She is my all time favorite person. I collect books about her, and I haven’t gotten this one yet…. So of course this would make a great addition to my collection. Found here.

Of course pretty candles are always a must! All found on Anthropologie’s website.

This adorable print made by Rifle Paper Co. but only exclusive at Lavish.

This perfume! I have Blooming Bouquet and LOVE it! I think this one would make a great addition in my perfume collection! Found in Nordstrom or Sephora.

Like I said, I don’t really want much mostly because I’ve spoiled myself this past month! I would much rather have a weekend getaway somewhere & celebrate! I talked about 3 places I would love to go for my birthday getaway right here.

I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday!

fall semester 2016.

It is officially Fall semester! I cannot believe how fast my summer flew by. I enjoyed the summer relaxing all day long, reading books, binge watching t.v. shows/movies, hanging out with Lola and my boyfriend…. but now it’s time to get back to the grind. I am taking five classes, two of which are online. I really need to focus & be organized this semester.

If you are in school, I wish you a successful & productive semester! You can do it!

My tote is from madewell.

review: suave professionals refresh & revive dry shampoo.

Influenster sent me this purple box to test out- how cute is this?! Inside is a Suave refresh & revive dry shampoo!

Dry shampoo is a favorite product of mine for many reasons. Not only does it add lots volume to your hair, it saves you time & energy not having to wash it everyday. It’s a WIN/WIN!

I loved the way this particular dry shampoo smelled. It has a fresh/floral scent! It absorbs oil, and doesn’t weigh my hair down like some other products have in the past. I have thick and wavy hair (just as a reference): this product worked amazing for me.

I love my hair, and I try my hardest for it to look healthy and shiny. I don’t wash my hair everyday (unless I absolutely have to), but I do have really oily hair naturally- so this dry shampoo has been a life savor!

Thank you Influenster for sending me this dry shampoo!

*this product was sent to me complimentary for testing/reviewing purposes from Influenster.

target beauty box.

The other day I got an email saying target was having a beauty box for only $7! So I jumped at the chance of getting one before they sold out.

This is my first beauty box that I bought from Target! Love the sleek box it comes in.

It shows you all the products you get, and it even came with a $3 off coupon any beauty purchase of $15 or more. Of course I used mine already!

At first glance: lots of goodies! I’m surprised with how much stuff they packed in this little box. I was super excited to see a full tube of lipstick & mascara!

Everything out of the box… For $7, I think it’s totally worth it! I am most excited about the makeup remover wipes (I can stick these in my purse or luggage!), mascara, and the deodorant (I can stuff in my school bag!) I always need razors, and the Laneige water sleeping mask looks interesting & I can’t wait to try it. I think this was a successful unboxing!

lip products i’m loving.

I’m obsessed with lip products. I probably have too many lip products for my own good. Here is a list of SOME of my favorites (in no particular order):

  1. Dior Addict Lip Glow(Pink): I have heard so much about this lip product, and decided to test it out myself. So I went to Sephora and bought it, but you can also get it at Macy’s, Nordstrom (it won’t let me link it, sorry). I got it in the color “pink”, and at first I was hesitant spending $33 for this little tube… one might disagree with me, but that’s pricey! My final thoughts? It’s a new favorite of mine & I’ll tell you why: It’s so moisturizing, I love the way it feels on my lips, and it’s very hydrating. I have an issue with some chapsticks or lip balms leaving a white film or residue– this DOES NOT do that! I can apply it, and not have to worry about checking my lips to see if I need to wipe my mouth! The color is a nice sheer pink, but it’s meant to enhance the natural color of your lips- very pretty! I am almost done with my first tube and will be repurchasing!
  2. Lorac Alter Ego Lipgloss (CEO): This lipgloss is absolutely gorgeous. I got this from my local Ulta on a whim, but you can find it at Khols or Ulta website (it won’t let me link it, sorry!) Best decision! The color is stunning! It’s a dusty rose/nude that compliments any makeup look! The packaging is gorgeous, the price is $16 (not bad), and it smells really good! I will forever be buying this product in this color, so I hope it won’t ever be discontinued.
  3. BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie (Best Dressed): Love the color of this lipgloss, it’s a beautiful rich plum. It smells divine, lasts a long time on the lips. It was my first time trying their marvelous moxie line, and I would definitely pick up more of their products. I tried to look everywhere for this (i’m guessing this color was limited edition?) and found that amazon carries it.
  4. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (Rose Velvet): I am trying to get more into lipstick, I love the way it makes a woman look more put together. But for some reason I gravitate more towards lipgloss. But Revlon has a lot of good color options, something more toned down (if you’re a newbie, like me) or you can go super dramatic! Get yours from Target as it’s cheaper than most places that have it. Click here. This formula is hydrating and very comfortable on.
  5. vbeaute lip spread anti-age tinting lip gloss: This is another great option if you want a clear gloss, something that’s very hydrating on the lips, isn’t sticky, but also enhances your natural lip color. I got this as a sample, but I found that you can buy it from HSN (it won’t let me link it, sorry). I’ve never really heard this brand before getting this sample, but it’s become one of my favorites!

hello august.

Happy August! Can you believe a new month is here? We are more than halfway through 2016! I know I say this all the time, but I can’t believe how quickly these months are flying by.

There are a lot of new things going on this month. First, my summer of “leisure” is coming to an end! It has been so wonderful having the summer off (since I always take summer classes). I have done everything that I wanted to: sleep, movie dates, beach, reading a lot of books, watching hours and hours of tv shows, shopping, visiting family,  gardening, and eating out. Some things that I didn’t get to do was travel outside of California, but that’s okay.

My new semester at SFSU starts later in the month, and I’ve picked all my classes. I will be taking: economics, business calculus (ughhhhh this is going to be a hard one), global warming, women as creative agents, and international business. I’ve got a FULL schedule, but I know I can do it! I am looking forward to finally being at a university & in my favorite city! (yay!)

I hope everyone has an amazing month! Remember that you are capable of achieving great things! With a positive mind, anything is possible.
